The chipset driver is easy to overlook because it has no flashy interface. Yet it helps Windows understand your motherboard and processor, covering things like power plans, storage controllers and USB behaviour.
For Ryzen systems, AMD's package can add power management improvements and fix compatibility problems. It is one of the first things I install after a fresh Windows setup.
Updates are usually small, so you do not need to hunt for every release. Install a current one on a new build, then check again occasionally or when a specific problem appears.
