A new Arc card works best when the system is prepared. Make sure your motherboard supports resizable BAR and that it is enabled in the BIOS; Arc cards rely on it for good performance.
Then install the driver package, restart, and open Intel's graphics software to confirm the card is recognised and running at full speed. If you are upgrading from another brand, uninstalling the old driver cleanly first avoids conflicts.
Take a few minutes to check the display settings too. It is easy to leave a monitor at the wrong refresh rate after a driver change, and that alone can make a good card feel slow.
