NVIDIA Driver Update for RTX 4060: Step-by-Step

The GeForce RTX 4060 is a popular choice for 1080p and 1440p gaming, and keeping its driver current helps with game compatibility and stability. Updating takes only a few minutes.

Start at NVIDIA's official driver page. Choose GeForce, then the RTX 40 Series, then RTX 4060 (pick the laptop version if you have a notebook), and select your Windows version. Download the Game Ready driver, or the Studio driver if you do creative work. Run the installer, choose Express, and wait for it to finish.

Alternatively, open the NVIDIA App and look for the Drivers section, where you can download and install the latest release with one click. After installing, restart your PC and open NVIDIA Control Panel to confirm the new version. If something goes wrong, try a clean installation, which removes old settings that may conflict with the new files. Check your monitor cable too, as a loose HDMI or DisplayPort connection can look like a driver problem.
