NVIDIA offers two driver branches for GeForce cards, and choosing between them is easier than it looks. Game Ready drivers are tuned for the newest games and are released to support new titles at launch. Studio drivers focus on stability and are tested with creative applications such as video editors, 3D tools and design software.
If you mainly play games, Game Ready is the natural choice. If your PC is used for editing, rendering or streaming work where a crash would cost you time, Studio is the safer option. Both work with the same graphics cards, and Studio drivers can still run games perfectly well.
You can switch between them at any time by downloading the other type from NVIDIA's official page and installing it, ideally as a clean install. In the NVIDIA App you can also choose which driver type you prefer. A practical tip: if you do both gaming and creative work, pick one and only switch if you notice a real problem. Stability matters more than chasing every update.
