Until now, you have used the ‘Address’ toolbar in the taskbar as a quick and easy input field. But after installing Service Pack 3, this bar suddenly disappeared and it’s not possible to bring it back.On account of some legal specifications in connection with the powerful integration of Internet Explorer with the operating system, Microsoft had to remove the address bar since it is a feature of IE. Nevertheless, there ‘are a few alternatives through which you can restore this functionality. Here we show you four methods that you can implement on your system.
RESTORING AN OLDER CONFIG FILE:
You can restore an older config file quite easily using a simple trick. However, it’s not advisable to do so since an older version of the file ‘browseui.dll’ in your XP installation folder might contain old potential security loopholes which can compromise the security of your system. If you still want to give it a try, boot thk computer from a Windows XP SPS setup CO and select the recovery console. Go to ‘Start I Run I cmd.exe’ to open the command prompt and enter the command ‘cd windows\system32’ in the target directory and extract the
‘browseui.dl_’ file with the command:
expand browseui,dl browseui.dll from the CD. And now, the address bar is available at your disposal, the moment you restart the computer. Alternatively, you may download the file ‘browseul. dIl’ from www.dll-files.com where it’s available in a compressed ZIP format. Unpack the downloaded file and copy it to the system folder in your local drive, probably ‘C:\Windows\System32\’.
PLACING THE ADDRESS BAR ON TOP:
Go to the desktop, click ‘My Computer’ from the start menu and drag it to the top border of the free space on your desktop. Now right-click in the new bar and select the ‘Toolbars I Address’ context command. You can now drag this new toolbar into the taskbar, but it will disappear once you restart the computer. Instead, right-click again on the My Computer toolbar and select the ‘Toolbars I My Computer’ command. With that, only the grey address bar or. the top border remains and is available for use again after a restart.
USING CUSTOM FREE SOFTWARE:
Alternatively, you can even reproduce the desired function using the free program MuvEnum. You will find the program at www.muvenum.com/ products/freeware/ . The tool can be activated by selecting the command ‘Toolbars I MuvEnum Address Bar’ from the context menu of the taskbar after installation has completed. The settings of the toolbar can be accessed throug’ the icon on the right of the bar. Disable the ‘Show Go Button’ in the ‘Options’ window to get rid of the unnecessary arrow button. Confirm your settings and exit the window by pressing ‘Save’. The bar is an Explorer extension and thus available without an auto-start option.
USING WINDOWS SEARCH 4:
As a further option, Microsoft recommends its own program, ‘Windows Search’. However, being a complex package which not only replaces the address bar but also installs the comprehends a Desktop Search function from Vista, think twice before installing it on your machine. The advantage with Windows Search 4 is that you can find files and emails across the enti’-a system instantaneously. But it also causes hard disk activity to increase noticeably. It can be downloaded from www.microsoft.com/downloads. Enter 'window search 4' in the search box and download the version appropriate for your operating system.

Accessing frequently used functions faster via a sidebar
Currently i am using a Windows Vista operating system. For those who still uses Windows XP, I just find an easy way to access your frequently used functions faster via a sidebar. It might be not a good info for some of you, but it does helpful if you don't know.In Windows Vista, you can constantly keep an eye on information using the sidebar gadgets. Now, you can have this easy access to information in XP as well.
Desktop Sidebar, available for all versions of Windows, offers great functionality and is a free application available for download at www. desktopsidebar.com. Start the Desktop Sidebar program manually from ‘Start I Programs I Desktop Sidebar I Desktop Sidebar’ after the installation process completes. While the variety of functions offered is impressive, you might want to change the appearance and general style of the Sidebar. For this, right-click on the ‘Sidebar’ title and open the ‘Options’ window from the context menu. In the ‘General’ tab, enable ‘Display details when I r,lick on panel’ option under ‘Details Window’ panel, so that an explanation pop-up doesn’t appear every time you mouse over a gadget. Furthermore, enable the ‘Run this program when Windows starts’ option to have the application run at system startup. Next, switch to the ‘Appearance’ tab and enable the option ‘Auto-hide Sidebar’ and save your settings. Exit the ‘Options’ window by clicking ‘OK’. This way, you can add a sidebar to XP and utilize your desktop to the fullest capacity. Since the auto-hide feature is enabled, it will only appear when you hover your mouse over the border of the monitor. The various gadgets are grouped into panels, and they can be configured
At any time via the context menu. For instance, to change the location in the ‘Weather’ panel, right-click its title and select ‘Panel Properties’ from the context menu. A couple of panels such as the integrated ‘Quick Launch’ bar and the CPU performance monitor are very useful, and they can be removed from the taskbar to free up space there, Some other useful functions in the Sidebar include ‘Newsroom’, ‘Media Player’, stock market quotes, and a Microsoft Outlook panel for quick access to your mail. To insert custom panels, right-click on the Sidebar title and select ‘Add panel’ from the context menu. There are quite a few built-in panels, but if you need more functionality, click the ‘Plug-ins’ button to be directed to the official website where you can browse and download for skins and gadgets.

Tips:DVD writer no detected (eror in device manager)
Often the devices not detected is because some files are missing or corrupt so the best option we use is system restore.
Sometimes when system restore not hel to solve the problems we use to repair windows which require up to 1 hour or sometimes more to repair our windows file.
I find a easy solution which found on this forum:

Lifespan of Digital Storage mediums
Sometimes we do need some storage mediums to keep some important files and folders.Digital storage mediums also act as a tools to transfer data, file and folders from one storage to another easily. We have seen the technologies move so fast from a flat floppy disk to hard disk and optical mediums such as CDs and DVDs.Ok, now let me share how long actually lifespan of this Digital Storage mediums that we all were using almost everyday at anywhere no matter at work or during at home when we use our computer.
1- Floppies

Earlier they were epitomes of data storage, today there were hardly can be found in any PCs with a floppy disk drive.I still own many of this floppies at home. It's very important back then while i was still studying in Varsity.I need to submit my assignments using these floppy disk to my lecturer. It was so easy to get damaged. The search for a floppy disk is hardly worthwhile as the lifespan is a maximum of five years.
2-Flash memory

USB sticks and memory cards are small, mobile, affordable and some even had high capacity. However it is not suitable for backup mediums.Flash memory did not have control mechanism and function, or at times it failed to fucntion. The lifespan is about five years same like floppies.
3- Optical mediums (CDs and DVDs)

CDs and DVDs are basically suited for backups. But what you need to look out for is to buy the right model.Low branded DVDs and CDs won't have the same capabilityto stored.Purchased a special long lasting models with a reasonable cost rather than the cheaper one.The most important thing of all is store these optical mediums correctly.A visible scratch on it's surface, than you're finished. If you stored it correctly and on the right blanks you can obtain a lifespan of up to 15 years.
4-Hard Disk

As for now nothing gives you more memory for money than hard disks. You can get a lifespan over 10 years if you are using hard disks correctly.Just make sure you stored it right,do not exposed to mechanical pressures. In that case, you should copy the data on a new medium without fail.

Google’s Last MySpace Payment: $75 Million On June 20, 2010
The landmark search advertising deal between Google and News Corp. is set to expire on June 30, 2010, just a little more than a year from now. The $900 million deal, announced in August 2006, has little chance of being renegotiated on similar terms, say sources close to the company. That means MySpace, which accounts for most of the revenue generated from the deal has just a year left figure out its go forward revenue strategy. Until now the details of the contract have been kept confidential. But we’ve recently reviewed a copy of both the original agreement (a binding term sheet) as well as the amendment signed in 2007 - in fact I’m reading it right now. The guaranteed payment clauses, which lay out the dates and sizes of the payments due to News Corp., call for $300 million to be paid by Google over the final year of the agreement. Here are the revenue guarantees: January 1, 2007 through June 30, 2007: $50 million, paid quarterly pro rata July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008: $250 million, paid quarterly pro rata July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009: $300 million, paid quarterly pro rata July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010: $300 million, paid quarterly pro rata All MySpace has to do to get the guaranteed payments is make certain search page view requirements. They’ve made those page view requirements easily, says our source, mostly by destroying the user experience. Any search on MySpace by default returns Google web results, which is rarely what the user wants to see. But MySpace has a history of monetizing their site to death, damn the user experience. That may explain part of the rise of Facebook at their expense. For their part, Google is said to be unhappy with the results. Perhaps it’s because MySpace is tricking users into doing Web queries, but click through on ads is rumored to be abysmal, and conversion on those click throughs is even worse. In other words, Google, Google advertisers and users are unhappy, but MySpace is just fine, thank you. One part of the deal which is reportedly doing well is display advertising, which is separate from the guaranteed revenue payments. Google is able to offer display advertisers deep reach into MySpace’s tens of millions of users, our source says. But it’s not clear MySpace, which has its own sales team and self service ad product, is all that interested in Google display ads going forward. At this point Google probably feels like it’s paying off a mortgage on a house worth half of what it paid for originally. They may be glad to just be able to walk away from it all as soon as possible.

Kindle Publishing Now Open To All Blogs
Kindle Publishing Now Open To All Blogs!Kindle is being able to subscribe to blogs on it. You have to pay for the privilege, but for heavy Kindle users, it makes sense as you can get the content delivered to you wirelessly for your favorite blogs. You know, like TechCrunch.
But the biggest limiting factor of this so far is that only the big blogs have been included in the blog directory. Starting today, anyone can make their blogs available via the new Kindle Publishing for Blogs Beta program.
All you have to do is make your blog’s feed available to the Kindle Store, and Amazon will do the rest, formatting your content for the device. According to the email from Amazon, after a few easy steps, your blog should be up and ready to go in the Kindle Store after about 12 to 48 hours of processing. Not bad.
As with blogs currently in the program, these new blogs will get 30% of the monthly blog subscription price for every subscriber Amazon signs up. In a world where mobile app developers traditionally keep 70% or more of the revenues, 30% seems awfully low.
And exactly how much Amazon will charge for each blog isn’t totally clear, other than Amazon says it will “define the price based on what we deem is a fair value for customers.” Most blogs currently go for $1.99 a month. Unfortunately, even if you want to, you can’t give your blog away for free on the device. Amazon has that WhisperNet to maintain, after all.
As a Kindle owner, I currently subscribe to a few of my favorite blogs, but for most of the rest I use Instapaper to bookmark articles and sync them over email to my device (which does cost a ridiculous $0.15 an email unfortunately — but Instapaper sends only one digest a day). The bottom line is that with 30% of the subscription price going to publishers, this isn’t likely to be a big source of income for most sites. There are simply too many blogs and the Kindle market is simply not that big. And the people who will pay for blogs on it is even less.

iPhone Apps Download achieve 1 Billion in 9 months
Believe it or not, iPhone Apps really shaken up the mobile industry.Amazing when you think that it took nearly 3 years before 1 Billion music tracks were downloaded from iTunes in 2006!That's a big number compared to iTunes apps.If you are using iPhone i think you know why people do really crazy about iPhone apps.
Usually people would like to grab the best of the best.No doubt that both iPhone and iTunes do have their own capability and great features, but it looks like people prefer using iPhone apps rather than iTunes apps.iPhone really was a phenomenal striking the mobile industry now. It's a big wave, and i bet there will be more great features awaiting for us in the future!

Twitter Is Down: 15 Alternative Things To Do
Twitter just went down. Don’t worry, it was planned. It should only be offline for about an hour today but there’s another downtime planned for Monday as well. I’m sitting here not quite sure what do with myself, as I’m sure many of you are. So I’ll go ahead a prepare a list of alternative activities for today and Monday, in order of importance/likelihood:
1. Talk about Twitter being down on FriendFeed
2. Talk about Twitter being down on Facebook
3. Talk about Twitter being down over IM
4. Leave a comment on a blog post about Twitter being down (preferably this one)
5. Talk about Twitter being down via text message
6. Talk about Twitter being down over email
7. Tip TechCrunch that Twitter is down
8. Write your own blog post about Twitter being down (for an example, see this blog post)
9. Talk about Twitter being down on Pownce Plurk
10. Talk about Twitter being down on Identi.ca
11. Talk about Twitter being down internally on Yammer
12. Think about Twitter being down
13. Call an actual friend to talk about Twitter being down
14. Invite an actual friend over to talk about Twitter being down
15. Go outside
And here are some other alternatives inspired by commenters:
1. Compose a tweet using Birdhouse to send out when Twitter comes back [thanks Josiah]
2. Bitch about the Twitter coverage on TechCrunch [thanks Austinite]
3. Question the timing of the planned maintenance [thanks Carl]
4. Accuse TechCrunch of being paid to promote Twitter [thanks what? (and Scoble and Winer)]
5. Find a homeing pigeon [thanks courtney benson]
6. Talk at a conference about Twitter being down [thanks Scoble]
7. Talk to Walt Mossberg and Jimmy Wales about Twitter being down [again, Scoble, who loses a point on the leaderboard for name-dropping]
8. Resort to hyperbole [thanks Shanky Baba]
9. Compare TC to a pubescent boy and Twitter to Scarlett Johanson [thanks Beer Universe]
10. “losers” [thanks Max]
11. Fix typos [thanks Erick]
12. Update IM status [thanks Drew]
13. Visit this site [thanks Orli]

Make Money:Entrepreneurs way
Basically there are two types of entrepreneurs one who claim they want to be successful in making money and the one those who are. There is something separate between these two entrepreneurs. The people who are successful will act fast. They collect knowledge quickly, gain it from multiple source and implement it quickly. In the other words, they act fast!Remember, that action is important more than anything because from action we got to see the results.

Some entrepreneurs think a lot of excuses, and also lack of confidence for action.Stop thinking too much, and act fast!Successful entrepreneurs always do without knowing it all first. It just their ways of doing it.Just do something ,make a progress because from action there will be more possibilities to expand and also motivate you a lot to success.
Personally people would think why do it if you are not clearly and understand it all out?Simply because, when you want to learn and put more time into it, people already started it and then you will be the second, third or 10th that starts it or even worst one of the last person which is too late.Successful Entrepreneurs love action, and only action can provides results and force us to learn and seek for more knowledge.Big successful entrepreneurs advice, action is the key, nothings happes without it.So you really want to earn big money?Take action now!

Windows 7 Release Candidate: Download instructions
Now Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) testing. Microsoft is on their way to Windows 7, and if you like trying out pre-release software, now’s your chance. You get to see what's coming, and we get to see if our changes and fixes from the Beta testing are working correctly.
How do you test the software? You put it on your PC, and then do what you'd normally do. Your PC will automatically and anonymously send our engineers the information they need to verify the fixes and changes they made based on the Windows 7 Beta tests.
The 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 RC are available in five languages: English, German, Japanese, French, and Spanish. Just choose the version that fits the system you'll be using, pick your language, and click go to register for and download the RC.
Downloading the Windows 7 RC could take a few hours. The exact time will depend on your internet provider, bandwidth, and traffic. The good news is that once you start the download, you won't have to answer any more questions – you can walk away while it finishes. If it gets interrupted, it'll restart where it left off. See this FAQ for details.
How do you test the software? You put it on your PC, and then do what you'd normally do. Your PC will automatically and anonymously send our engineers the information they need to verify the fixes and changes they made based on the Windows 7 Beta tests.
Here's what you need to know:
This is pre-release software, so please read the following to get an idea of the risks and key things you need to know before you try the RC.
- You don't need to rush to get the RC. The RC will be available at least through July 2009 and we're not limiting the number of product keys, so you have plenty of time.
- Watch the calendar. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You’ll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use. (Learn more about installing Windows.)
- Protect your PC and data. Be sure to back up your data and please don't test the RC on your primary home or business PC.
- Tech details/updates: Before installing the RC, please read the Release Notes and Things to Know for important information about the release.
- Keep up with the news. You can keep up with general technical information and news by following the team blog. And, you can get non-technical news, tips, and offers by subscribing to the monthly Exploring Windows newsletter.
- Keep your PC updated: Be sure to turn on automatic updates in Windows Update in case we publish updates for the RC.
- Installation: You can install the Windows 7 RC on a PC running Windows Vista without backing up the PC—but we encourage you to make a backup for safe keeping. If you’re running Windows XP or the Windows 7 Beta, you’ll need to backup your data, then do a clean installation of the RC, then reinstall your applications and restore your data. If you need to do a backup, please see How to back up your PC for more details and a suggestion for how to backup a PC running Windows 7 Beta or Windows Vista.
To install and use the RC, you'll need to know how to:
- Troubleshoot problems. You're pretty much flying solo, so you'll need to handle your own tech support, and rely on other RC testers for their know-how
- Burn an ISO file to make an installation DVD
- Install Windows
- Backup and restore your PC
- Set up a network
- Create and use a system recovery disk
- To learn more about the Windows 7 RC, see Frequently asked questions.
Here's what you need to have:
- Internet access (to download Windows 7 RC and get updates)
A PC with these system requirements:
- 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
- 1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Please note these specifications could change. And, some product features of Windows 7, such as the ability to watch and record live TV or navigation through the use of "touch," may require advanced or additional hardware.
