Economy Crisis and Jobs

Perhaps world has come to end?I don't think so.Assuming that everybody suffering the economy crisis now, i would say there is a lot of people out there with no jobs.Food was expensive  even though oil price been decreasing tremendously over the years.Numerous of big company goes bankrupt and some forces them to resigned their workers.This is what happening now.But it was never the end of the world.It just a massive economy crisis.We all involved in it.

For some of you who did'nt know, i was working in a factory.Yeah, and until now there has been 20 employess had received  letter of resignation and 1 executive had been thrown out from the company.Pity them, during this economy crisis, it is hard to find a new job.I can still remember vividly how some of the employee burst tears in front of the lobby after receive the letter.I believe she said that she is a widow and she had to feed her family and she got no one to count on.How sad and pity it can be?

This incoming weeks perhaps the top management were planning on shutting down the factory for some time.They did not decide yet, but there will be a shut down for a few days for sure.What a disaster!

As form me, i will keep on blogging and maintain my income to the fullest.I need to increase a little bit of my online income.There will be a cutt on my salary if my company decided to shut down the factory.It's for sure not a good sign.At least if  anything happened, i still had money to keep on going.However let us all just pray that this economy crisis end up quickly.Everyone can get their job back and everyone can livehappily ever after.I can get married and live happy .Sounds like a wonderful storyline if it ends with a word "Happyly ever after".Let us all pray.

Welcome Year 2009

I know it's a bit late for me to wish a Happy new Year 2009.It has been 3 days.However, i don't think it was too late for me to review what had i achieved last year of 2008.I started blogging using blogspot free domain from 2006, but only seriously blogging on 2008.It was my year alright.I actively published numerous of post per blog everyday and then there is where my internet income started to burst.But i don't mean bursting like John Chow or Shoemoney income, but more than enough for myself.

Now, my Google Adsense had grown tripple or more on what i had earlier back when i just started blogging.At the end of year 2008 i decided to go for my own domain and my own hosting and i choose Digitalmalay.com as a domain using hostgator webhsoting.Still no income out of it.Maybe 8 months later like all the gurus told everybody.

For instance famously Shoemoney waited for 2 years before monetizing his blog.Johnchow in the other hand only had 1000visitors after 8months of blogging.Digitalmalay?I honestly don't know..So, i want to bare in mind that this year 2009, will be my starting point of this blog.Chaiyyuk!

Online Polls: The best Web Polling Software available

1. Toluna - Toluna is an online polling software that also lets you add videos and pictures to poll answers to make them look more descriptive. The service is integrated with Plaxo so it should be easy to invite existing contacts to take your poll.

When you create a new poll inside Toluna, it will automatically suggest a list of existing polls that could be related to the poll you have in mind. This is a big time saver for general interest polls like "Which is your favorite email?" because you can just copy an existing poll rather than doing everything from scratch.

2. Micropoll - This web poll service doesn’t require registration and you can create a quick poll by simply typing all the possible choices in a text box separated by new lines. Micropoll provides a variety of colored themes and you can embed polls in websites either as JavaScript or a Flash movie. You get to see poll responses on a world map and the paid version also supports SMS polls.

3. Google Docs - You create a new form in Google Docs and include either "Multiple Choice" or "Choose from a list" type of questions to compose a poll.

This is very practical for large polls / surveys as all the data is directly captured inside a spreadsheet and that makes for easy analysis. However the poll embedding options in Google Docs aren’t very convenient and users can’t see the results after voting.

4. PollDaddy is the most popular online polling software that was recently acquired by Automattic, the same company that also develops WordPress blogging software.

PollDaddy also lets you insert pictures and YouTube clips in your polls though there’s no integrated search as in Toluna. You can choose a styles from the available skins or create something unique via CSS. Polls can be embedded in web pages either as JavaScript or Flash widgets. You can subscribe to poll results via RSS feeds or export them as XML / CSV for analysis in programs like Microsoft Excel.

5. StrawPoll - This is an interesting service that lets you run live polls on Twitter. You post a question one your Twitter page directly via StrawPoll and your Twitter friends / followers can vote by simply replying to your Tweet.

StrawPoll allows only two choices per question (like Do you like Coffee? Yes or No) but still great for getting feedback from the Twitter community as it very convenient.

6. Poll Everywhere - The drawback with either of the poll services discussed above is that they all require web access for people to participate and are therefore not very useful in situations where you want the offline audience to vote (like a conference room without Internet).

A good alternative to web polls are SMS Polls where people can vote though text messaging on mobile phones just like polls conducted on TV or radio. The Poll Everywhere service is now available in almost every country and the basic plan is free though it only allows 30 votes per poll.

7. Notifu - Another unique service that lets you conduct polls via Email or IM. You create a poll on the Notifu website, type in the possible responses and then invite contacts who can vote through email, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and all other popular IM clients.

Other than email or IM, your friends / colleagues can also vote via SMS messages though that is a charged option.

8. Vizu Polls - If you are looking to expand the reach of your web polls beyond the limited audience of your blog or website, Vizu Web Polls are an option worth looking at.

With Vizu you can create a regular poll and embed it on your own site - it will also show the voter locations on a Google Map. Next is the Vizu ad network where you can have that poll published on external websites for a fee.

Windows 7 Beta Download Page URL and Connect Invite Sent to Testers

Microsoft has sent out invites for early participation in Windows 7 Beta program to selected few privileged technical beta testers and existing MVPs. In the invitation email, Microsoft states that the Windows 7 beta 1 installation file will only be available for download in early 2009 yet, and the Windows 7 Beta 1 registrants can only access to microsoft.beta.windows7.lobby newsgroup, some survey links, and guide on using Send Feedback Tool when logging into Connect. There is no product key for Windows 7 available yet too.

While not yet available for download, there is already intense speculation that the first beta build of Windows 7 (aka Beta 1) going to be released will have the build version number of 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400 (7000.0.081212-1400), packaged on December 12th, 2008. As such, the previous Windows 7 build 6956 that leaked into Internet may not be the actual beta build, but nonetheless close.

There are rumors that beta testers may get the code bits as early as within 48 hours, although most evident points to delivery date for Windows 7 beta 1 on either January 5, 2009, when Windows 7 Beta downloads and DVD media kit will be offered via the January 2009 Quarterly Update Kit through the Microsoft Action Pack Subscription (MAPS), or January 13th, 2009, when all participants of the MSDN Developer Conferences is scheduled to receive their free copy of Windows 7 Beta 1 DVD.

Just woke up today and got a news that the most popular instant messenger Windows Live Messenger has been updated to 2009! I immediately updated it and found that the interface is much nicer with a lot of flashy effects and shadows like what you usually see in Windows Vista. There are a lot of new features and more than 200 bugs have been fixed.

Usually I am well informed when a new Windows Live Messenger is about to release but this time is like a big surprise to me. Have you noticed that a lot of software released this year goes with “2009?? This is like the first time Windows Live Messenger includes the year as a version number although they still maintain the internal build version number.

I am sure there are a bunch of other new features which haven’t been discovered yet. I’ve chatted with one of my cousin and everything just looks great! So go ahead and update your Windows Live Messenger to 2009 if you haven’t done so. Mess Patch and A-Patch haven’t been updated to work with MSN 2009 but the Messenger Plus! Live is compatible with this build although not fully functional. We’ll just have to wait a little longer for the patchers to be updated and I’m sure it won’t be long.

To download and install the latest Windows Live Messenger 2009, you’ll have to download Windows Live Installer which contains installation files for all software programs inside the Windows Live products, such as Windows Mail, Photo Gallery, Toolbar, Writer, and etc. By default all program will be selected, so if you don’t need them, just uncheck all of it and make sure that only Messenger is checked. If you already have the old version of Windows Live Messenger installed, you will see that Messenger is at the lower section that says “This program will be updated”.

Portable Universal Extractor that Supports Extracting All Types of Archive Files

PowerArchiver is my favorite general purpose archiving program which I use to compress multiple files into one archive package and also to extract compressed archive files. There are many types of archiving software but I prefer to use PowerArchiver because the graphical user interface is very similar to WinZIP which I am very comfortable with and also its native support for most popular compressed and encoded formats such as ZIP, 7-ZIP, CAB, LHA (LZH), TAR, GZIP, BZIP2, BH, XXE, UUE, yENC, and MIME (Base 64), RAR, ARJ, ARC, ACE, ZOO plus ISO, BIN, IMG and NRG disc image formats.

The original motivation behind this project was that the author wanted an easy, convenient way to extract files from installation packages, such as Inno Setup or Windows Installer packages, without pulling up a command line every time. In the process he got a little carried away and ended up throwing in support for every kind of archive format he possibly could find. Universal Extractor is written in AutoIt, a powerful open source scripting language. Universal Extractor itself, however, is just a front-end that uses many other programs to do the dirty work. If you’re curious about the “other” programs that is doing the dirty work, check out the BIN folder.

Basically Universal Extractor is NOT an extracting program. It is only a script that automates the whole process. When I want to extract a RAR file with Universal Extractor, it will begin by scanning the file with TrID. If the file format matches the RAR format, it immediately begins extraction from the archive using the tools located in BIN folder.

Universal Extractor is free and a very handy tool to carry along with me in my USB flash drive. As a computer guy, it is important for us to carry the right tools all the time so we will be prepared to face any kind of situation without wasting extra time.

But the basic idea is that they’re going to get the attention of more prospects by giving them something, usually for free.

So the web site visitor, in order to claim their free offer, will need to enter their email address, zip code, or home address.

So instead of depending on the Average Joe to fill out a credit card order form and actually buy something, I'm getting big fat checks that just get bigger and bigger all the time, from deep pocket corporations with huge advertising budgets like Home Depot, Blockbuster, and on and on and on . . . by just getting them leads.

And you get the leads by giving their offers away for free. And that’s not very hard.

Think about it . . .

Which do you think is easier to get from a stranger?

Their zip code or their credit card number?

Exactly.

And finding these "offers" to promote is not hard either. It’s very easy, and I will show you the exact websites I use.

The offers are found on CPA (Cost Per Action) Networks. CPA offers means that these big companies pay you for every “action” (like every time someone fills out a form, which might be just their email address, or even just entering their zip code.

And you get paid every time, for every lead you generate. Pretty simple.

And you don’t need a list – or even a website!

You see, all of these people came to a one-day seminar that Brad Fallon and I hosted in Las Vegas last month. What happens is that a company like Home Depot will have a special lead generating "offer" on their web site.

This offer might be a discount coupon, a free gift, or possibly a free trial to some service. There are a million kinds of offers out there.

But the basic idea is that they’re going to get the attention of more prospects by giving them something, usually for free.

So the web site visitor, in order to claim their free offer, will need to enter their email address, zip code, or home address.

So instead of depending on the Average Joe to fill out a credit card order form and actually buy something, I'm getting big fat checks that just get bigger and bigger all the time, from deep pocket corporations with huge advertising budgets like Home Depot, Blockbuster, and on and on and on . . . by just getting them leads.

And you get the leads by giving their offers away for free. And that’s not very hard.

Think about it . . .

Which do you think is easier to get from a stranger?

Their zip code or their credit card number?

Exactly.

And finding these "offers" to promote is not hard either. It’s very easy, and I will show you the exact websites I use.

The offers are found on CPA (Cost Per Action) Networks. CPA offers means that these big companies pay you for every “action” (like every time someone fills out a form, which might be just their email address, or even just entering their zip code.

And you get paid every time, for every lead you generate. Pretty simple.
And it works just like regular affiliate marketing. You have no overhead, no products, no customers, no headaches!

And you don’t need a list – or even a website!
You sign up with a CPA network. It’s not hard, but there are a lot of rookie mistakes you DON’T want to do when you’re dealing with these guys.
