With its sleek minimalist design coupled with a complete package it is no doubt that the iPhone is going to be another spunking awesome product that’s going to hit Asia with a big wave like the iPod did. With only 11.6 mm thick, the gadget is surprisingly VERY thin for a package of product ranging from a quadband phone, superb internet browsing ability and connectivity, a 2.0 megapixel camera to Apple proud product, the iPod.
Design (external): The 3.5-inch 480 x 320 multi-touch screen is what made the design so minimal. iPhone does not need any physical keyboard or dial since the software supports a QWERTY keyboard and a phone dial once the function is activated. There’s only ONE button, the home button. The top consist of a headset jack, 3.5mm, SIM tray, and a sleep-wake switch. The bottom: a speaker, mic input, and an iPod connector. A camera is built right in.
Design (internal): Three advance sensors. A proximity sensor - switch off touchscreen when you bring it to your ear. Ambient light sensor - adjust brightness thus saves energy and an accellerometer that will adjust the image whenever you swing your iPhone from potrait to landscape and vice versa. Drooling already?
Browsing: just use your finger. No stylus. You can scroll up and down almost butter-like smooth. Type your SMS or e-mail using the QWERTY keyboard. Edit pictures - YES - enlarging picture by using 2 fingers move together. Double-tap to zoom. Almost like a virtual reality thing. Except this is REALITY.
Phone Features/SMS: Quadband GSM + EDGE. Visual voicemail (meaning you can actually CHOOSE which voicemail message you want to hear). Speakerphone mode. Conference call. SMS just like a chat script. All message conversation from the same people is lumped under the same contact name. Keyboard prevent mistakes (probably only for English).
